I went into it expecting an important (and slightly boring) classic, and I came out thinking that it is actually a remarkably intimate book about something we still struggle to explain: what happens when you realize that the life you are living and the person you so desperately want to be are not necessarily the same thing.
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is a novel about Jay Gatsby’s obsessive love for Daisy Buchanan. It shows disillusioned dreams of the lost generation in post-war America.
