Meet Rafia Naseem
Hi, I’m Rafia Naseem, a writer, lifelong book lover, and the person behind The Reader Life. With a master’s degree in English Literature and nearly a decade of experience in content writing, I bring together academic knowledge, critical thinking, and a genuine love of storytelling to explore the books we read and the stories that stay with us.
My background in literature has taught me to look beyond the plot. I’m interested in what makes a character believable, how an author builds tension, why certain themes resonate with readers, and what a story reveals about the world around us. Whether I’m reviewing a psychological thriller, exploring a classic novel, or recommending your next read, I aim to offer thoughtful insights without making reading feel like homework.
What I Bring to The Reader Life
Since 2017, I’ve worked as a freelance content writer, helping clients turn ideas into engaging, reader-focused content. Through Fiverr, where I’ve built a portfolio of writing and literary analysis projects, I’ve developed experience in research, critical analysis, and adapting my writing to different audiences.
I also publish on Medium, where I write about books, reading, writing, and other topics that spark my curiosity. Working across these platforms has shaped my approach to online publishing: good writing should be well-researched, useful, engaging, and, above all, written with the reader in mind.
Why I Started The Reader Life
I created The Reader Life to share my love of books and help readers find stories worth their time. Here, you’ll find book reviews, reading recommendations, literary discussions, and practical resources for making reading a bigger part of your life.
I believe a good book review should do more than summarize a story. It should help you understand what makes a book work, who might enjoy it, and whether it deserves a place on your reading list. My goal is to give you an honest, considered perspective so you can choose your next read with confidence.
Whether you’re searching for your next thriller, revisiting a literary classic, looking for your next reading obsession, or simply trying to get back into reading, I hope you’ll find something useful here.
